So what if you told us a little about yourself?
I’m happily married to my very
own book boyfriend, a mom of two boys (7 & 10), I spend a lot of time at
the hockey rink with my sons, thankfully I love every minute of it! When I’m
not chasing the boys, we are all chasing the dog!
Et si vous nous parliez un peu de vous?
Je suis marié avec bonheur à mon propre petit ami du livre, une maman de deux garçons (7 et 10 ans), je passe beaucoup de temps à la patinoire de hockey avec mes fils, heureusement j'aime chaque minute! Quand je ne poursuis pas les garçons, nous poursuivons tous le chien!

You are my first foreign author whom I interview, what do you do?
When I’m not
writing I’m a stay at home mom. My boys keep me on the go a lot! I love to read
and cook and buy picture frames. I never hang them though lol
4. Vous êtes mon premier auteur étranger que j'interview, que faites vous ?
Quand je n’écris pas, je suis une mère au foyer. Mes garçons me tiennent beaucoup en mouvement! J'aime lire et cuisiner et acheter des cadres photo. Je ne les accroche jamais bien lol

Since when do you write?
I have always written for myself, little stories here
and there but started about 5 years go writing to share with readers.
Depuis quand écris tu ?
J'ai toujours écris pour moi, de petites histoires ici et là et j'ai commencé il y environ 5 ans pour partager avec mes lecteurs

What kind of book do you write?
I write contemporary and New Adult romance
Quel genre de livres écrit tu ?
J'écris de la romance contemporaine et du New Adult

can you tell us about your novels?
I tend to write alpha men, a professional
fighter, a rock star, country music star, Scottish bartender, professional
athletes etc. All of my books are also written in dual POV, some of them more
from the male POV than the woman’s. They’re romantic, some are angsty, all of
them are sexy!
Peux tu nous parler de tes livres ?
J'ai tendance à écrire sur des hommes alphas , des combattants professionnels, une rock star, une star de la musique country.

how much do you publish?
I write very slowly, unfortunately. I try to publish
one novella and one full length a year. I do my best.
Combien en as tu publier ?
J'écris lentement malheureusement, j'essais d'écrire une nouvelle et une novella par an. Je fais de mon mieux.

How is life in Chicago?
This is home, I love it here! I lived in Florida for a
few years and am so very happy to be back home in Chicago!
Comment est la vie à Chicago ?
C'est chez moi ! J'adore être ici, J'ai vécu en Floride pendant quelques années et je suis très heureuse d'être de retour à Chicago

what made you decide to start?
I’ve always loved writing and making up stories.
I’m just so happy that I’ve found people to read them!
Qu'est ce qui t'as décidé à te lancer ?
j'ai toujours aimer écrire et inventer des histoires. Je suis tellement contente d'avoir trouver des gens pour lire !

Are your books translated to France?
Yes! So far two of them have been (Love
Hurts and Love Burns) but all of my full-length novels are under contract with
Juno Publishing. I’m so thrilled to be working with them.
Tes livres sont-ils traduit en France ?
Oui ! Jusqu'à présent deux d'entre eux l'ont été ( Love Hurts et love Burns ) mais tout mes romans sont sous contrats avec Juno Publishing. Je suis tellement ravie de travailler avec eux .

to be an author for you what is it?
It’s everything. It gives me the
opportunity to stay home with my boys and do what I love.
Pour toi auteure c'est quoi ?
C'est tout. Cela me donne l'opportunité de rester à la maison avec mes garçons et de faire ce que j'aime.

what is your favorite place to write?
Anywhere quiet! Lol I write standing at
my kitchen counter a lot even though I have an office space.
Quel est ton endroit favori pour écrire ?
N'importe où, tranquille ! Lol, J'écris souvent debout à mon comptoir de cuisine même si j'ai un espace de bureau .

which place would you advise us to visit first in Chicago?
Navy Pier is really
beautiful! So is our architecture and there are boat tours that explore all of
our beautiful buildings and their history.
Quel endroit nous conseillerez tu de visiter en premier à Chicago ?
Navy Pier est vraiment magnifique ! Il en va même de notre architecture et il y a des escurssions en bateaux qui explorent tout nos beaux bâtiments et leur histoire .

what is the most unusual place where you had inspiration?
I find inspiration
everywhere! In the car, out to dinner, at the hockey rink with my boys!

Je trouve l'inspiration partout ! Dans la voiture, au dîner, à la patinoire avec mes garçons !

Oh I have too many to name!

In Chicago, there are book fairs?
if yes, which ones?
Yes! There’s one every
year, called Wild and Windy in the City that is an amazing event and one every
other year or so called Sweet Home Chicago that is right downtown and so great!
Il y t-il des salons du livre à Chicago ?
Oui ! Il y en a chaque années, appelé Wild and Windy in the City, qui est un évènement incroyable et un tout les deux ans appelé Sweet Home qui est en plein centre ville et tellement génial !

do you prepare a novel for next year?
I try to plan as best as I can. I have a
hockey series I’m working on now.
Prépare tu un roman pour l'année prochaine ?
J'essaie de planifier du mieux que je peux. j'ai une série de Hockey sur laquelle je travaille actuellement .

what would you like to say to your readers?
Thank you. It really doesn’t seem
like enough but I’m truly humbled to even have readers.

Merci . Cela ne semble vraiment suffisant mais je suis vraiment honorée d'avoir des lecteurs !

have any of your loved ones ever read you?
I hope not! Lol My family is all
very supportive, but I ask them to never read my books. I wouldn’t be able to
look them in the eye ever again.
L'un de tes proches t-as t-il déjà lu ?
J'espère que non ! Lol, ma famille est très solidaire mais je leur demande de ne jamais lire mes livres . Je ne pourrais jamais plus les regarder dans les yeux !

what is your first book read?
I have been an avid reader ever since I was a
child. I devoured books from the moment I could read on my own. One of my very
first book boyfriends that I can remember though is Gill from Anne of Green
Gables.
Quel est ton premier livre lu ?
je suis une lectrice assidue depuis je suis enfant . j'ai dévoré des livres dès l'instant où j'ai pu lire par moi-même . Un de mes tout premiers copains de livres dont je me souviens est Gill de Anne of Green Gables.

what would you recommend to someone who wants to get started?
Sit down and
write. Don’t worry yourself about all the other stuff, just write. And also
don’t write to get rich because most authors never do. Write because you love
it.
Que recommanderais tu à quelqu'un qui souhaite se lancer ?
Asseyez vous et écrivez . Ne vous inquiétez pas pour tout le reste, écrivez. Et n'écrivez pas non plus pour devenir riche car la plupart des auteurs ne le font pas . Ecrivez parce que vous aimez ça.

do you know a few words in French? Have you ever been in France?
I know very
few, I wrote a French-Canadian character in Stoned that I had to learn a few
things for! One of my most absolute favorite things that the French say is Tu
me manques. Is that right? I think it’s just so beautiful.
Connais tu quelques mots en français ? As-tu déjà été en France ?
J'en connais très peu, j'ai écrit un personnage canadien-français dans Stoned pour lequel je devais apprendre quelques trucs ! L'une des choses que je préfère le plus, selon les français c'est " Tu me manques " Est-ce correct ? je pense que c'est tellement beau !

Do you think you will write with one or another author? if so who?
If I were to
write with anyone it would have to be my best friend Adriana Locke. She’s the
only one who would be able to keep me in line lol
Pensez vous que tu écriras avec un ou une autre auteur(e) un jour ? Si oui Qui ?
Si je devais écrire avec quelqu'un, ce devrait être ma meilleure amie Adriana Locke. Elle est la seule à pouvoir me garder en ligne lol
